All of us at, well at least many of us are now "enjoying" this quarantine doing silly online games and challenges, trolling and mocking the ongoing events. Every five minutes the government and media are informing us to stay inside, wash our hands and avoid all possible social gatherings and meetups. Social distancing is really important in the present scenario. Our health department and government toil day and night to get back things under control, and yet some of us still play the role of mere muppets in this serious situation.

I insist you watch the movie Contagion because you'll know what's the worst that could happen if things go out of hand. That's something none of us want to see or experience. The movie is realistic and intense, watching it now in the current period adds to the spookiness of the same, even though it's no horror movie. The movie helps us understand the gravity of the situation we're having. The movie depicts the state of helplessness faced by people, and the role media, newspapers and other social platforms play in the same. The movie is not enjoyable to watch, not especially in the current scenario.

If I watched this few months back, I'd not be able to conceive the plot at all. It's about a deadly virus being spread from bats, ending up infecting humans. The number multiplies from one to a billion in no time. The movie runs through the lives of different characters and covers the emotional stages, different kinds of people pass through. A blogger, a father and child, the medical sector official and his family, the characters are webbed in quite a remarkable way. The event that the whole world faces now, confers to the gripping tone of the movie.

We are fortunate enough to have efficient people working round the clock to prevent the "spread" of Covid-19, and all we are asked to do is to remain at our homes for some days, wash our hands and "social distancing" so that any possible exponential growth of this virus can be controlled and things can go back to normal as it was before. Let's all stay home and obey the health department and our government and together bring this pandemic to an end.
