TO ALL THE STAND-UP COMEDIANS I'll ALWAYS LOVE
Ps: I LOVE THEM ALL😌❤️
The sweetest and the most savored memory from my childhood resides in the living room in my father's house. We all used to gather around after dinner, jalebis or ladoo always decorated our teapoy, at times we'd end up cracking a packet of Parle-G. Doesn't matter!
My grandmother was so obsessed with reality shows, she'll never let us change the channel. We'll sit around, and always one topic or another pops up and then the show began! That's how group conversations worked undoubtedly, we might begin talking about the economy of India and end up discussing the last marriage function someone attended. I know, it doesn't make sense, just like our economy! Hmm... Pretty ironic.
All of them had the best sense of humor, the walls echoed our hysteric laughs, it was my happy place. With time we grew apart, studies, job, family, career, a hell lot of reasons to stay away from home. The living room all alone and send to sleep, niff of dust replaced the sweet savor of jalebis and the echoed laughs died off with time.
That's not the end of the story. In fact, it's just the beginning fellas!
Yes, we dwell in the 21 st century, Alexa and Siri by our side, all of us racing ahead struggling for one thing or the other.
In this hustle-bustle, there's one thing we sometimes tend to forget.
A good laugh.
The living room vibe, once I got from my family, came back to me once again, Stand up comedians got this job done for me.
Kenneth Sebastian is my personal favorite. He's got a way with his words.
An off- the - cuff style of handling a
moment and making the best out of it makes him outstanding. His actions, sound modulation, and style of presenting the show deserve another level of appreciation.
All of his shows are so sublime and very relatable. One of his shows was about "Indian Parents - unspoken laws". I laughed my heart out watching this video, it was so epic and I couldn't agree with him more. Love and laughter aid our minds to let go of fear and anxiety. I found his shows as a great mood enhancer and it indeed helped me through some hard times. His Chai Time Comedy videos are damn peerless, every bit of it is so epic, I remember in one video he was talking about Chess, Card Games and Snakes and ladder. He talked about the snakes and ladder game, and I bet no one could render a better performance than his and there's this one bit where he mocks the snake and ladder board, saying "I love how the concept is so flawed, but they're trying really hard, they made all the snakes so cute, but they have venom in them like most of the people we meet!" That was a top-notch comment to make, it did blow my mind off completely.
If you ever feel low and you feel like taking a break from reality, I ensure you, this man can make you rapt and light-hearted and maybe you'll feel at home, like me. Thank you, Kenny, you're simply the best.

Kanan Gill is well known for his youtube series "Pretentious Movie Review". My personal favorite video of his is "Siblings", it's so epic and I bet every single one of us can relate to him completely. He has got a very smashing way of engaging his audience, I'm pretty sure you'll laugh your heart out, this man has got the key to it! He's got a striking way of connecting with people. The Break-Up sketch presented by him and Kenny was so insanely funny and spiffing, we might think it's a cliché break - up joke, but it's not. These guys took break-up to a whole new level...
I love Sumukhi Suresh and Naveen Richard, they make my cheek ache out of laughing and smiling. A duo that can transform a group of people worried about one thing or another into a batch bursting out, having the most idiotic smile on their face, laughing their heads out.
If you haven't watched their show "Go Straight Take Left" stop reading and watch it now. As we say nowadays "IT'S DAMN LIT BROOOO!!! ".
I'm really thankful for these talented people. All of them are so good at what they do, engaging the crowd with such ripping performances. I look forward to watching their shows live, one thing why I hate class hours so much, apparently my attendance bar ain't letting me chill out for a bit.
Duh!
To all the stand-up comedians out there, I just want to say thank you. You guys are like a thin perennial rain refreshing our mood, taking us quite some time out from the harsh reality and whatever crisis all of us are passing through. For some, laughing out loud softens few of the worst blows they've been delivered. You guys make this world a better place.
For Langston Hughes once said,
"Like a welcome summer rain, humor may suddenly cleanse and cool the earth, the air and you."
. LOL FOLKS❤️.
